Show Notes:
In this podcast, I walk through my story of losing my daughter Aria to Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). It’s a very rare cause of death affecting 1.4 out of 100,000 children between the ages of 1-4. It can affect older ages too, but it gets rarer as they get older.
It’s similar to SIDS, in that there is no cause of death found, and they usually die in their sleep. It’s a traumatic way to find your child when you go to wake them up in the morning. You can learn more about it at www.sudc.org.
I also talk about having my daughter Brilynn 4 weeks after Aria died, and the resulting PTSD I got from finding Aria. Grief manifests itself in many ways and is different for each of us. My grief journey is my own, and I share some of it in this episode.
