200: Having Patience For Your Grief Process

200: Having Patience For Your Grief Process

We have reached 200 podcast episodes! From being terrified about starting a podcast to being nervous to ask people to come to listen, NOW I’m two and a half years in and this is one of my favorite parts of the work I get to do.

Today is just kind of an encouragement day, to help remind you to be patient with your grief process. One of the biggest things I hear from grieving mothers is impatience that they don’t want to be feeling this way anymore. This is taking too long. This is too painful. It’s too much.

You do not have to be in a hurry to get rid of your grief or to be better. Let them go. Your expectations of how your grief is supposed to look are nothing but that, an expectation.

I want to share with you a short guided breath work session to bring you back to your body, to bring you back to being right here, right now. Because this is the only moment we ever have. So get comfortable, and I will guide you through a square breathing exercise. And before we get started, set the intention to release judgment of yourself, and allow yourself to grieve in the ways that feel best for you.

Are you ready to stop cycling in the pain and anguish of grief? What if you could get a moment of calm and respite? After your child dies, everything feels hopeless and dark, and it’s hard to even think straight. Staying in survival mode keeps the cycle going.
